Venue Information

Box Office  

The Box Office is open 1 hour prior to the scheduled performance start time to allow customers to collect pre purchased tickets or purchase last minute tickets (when available). The Box Office will also be able to assist with purchasing of tickets for other events at Ipswich Civic Centre during this pre show time. 

Concession Tickets 

Ipswich Civic Centre is able to offer concession tickets to some of our shows depending on the ticketing agreement we have with the show promoters. A Concession ticket is available to a Centrelink Blue Pension Concession Card holder (not a Seniors Card) or a Student who has a student card. If purchasing a Concession ticket over the phone or internet, you will be required to bring your Concession card along to the performance to show the ushers upon entry into the show. If you are purchasing for a friend or family member who is also on a Concession card, advise them to bring the Concession card along to the performance to show the ushers upon entry into the show.

Refreshment Bar  

The refreshment bar is open 1 hour prior to the scheduled performance start time to allow customers to purchase pre show drinks, light refreshments & light meals. The refreshment bar is closed during performance times and will reopen at interval for drinks & light refreshments and is also open after the show.

Doors Open 

The opening time for doors prior to a show can vary. Generally though, the doors will be open 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time - this allows ushers enough time to seat patrons and also allow time to deal with latecomers. We always advise patrons to arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to starting time of the scheduled show.  

Once the doors are closed for a performance, any patron arriving late may have to wait until an appropriate time in the show to be seated by an usher.

Getting there 

The Ipswich Civic Centre is located on the Corner of Limestone & Nicholas Streets, Ipswich.  We are located in the centre of the Ipswich CBD, close to cafes & parks and just a short walk from Ipswich Railway Station & Bus Stops.

Getting there by car: Head west along Brisbane Road towards Ipswich and continue onto Queen Victoria Parade. Queen Victoria Parade veers slightly left and becomes Limestone Street. Continue along Limestone Street for approximately 1km. The Ipswich Civic Centre is on the left hand side, on the corner of Nicholas Street.

Parking: Limited on-street (metered) parking is available on surrounding streets including Limestone, Nicholas, South, Roderick and Ellenborough Streets.

Getting there by train: Catch a train to Ipswich Train Station (see http://www.translink.com.au/ for train travel information).  Walk from Ipswich Train Station south on Bell Street towards Brisbane Street. Turn right at Brisbane Street and then left at D'arcy Doyle Place/Nicholas Street. Continue to follow Nicholas Street, where you will see the Ipswich Civic Centre on your left (corner of Limestone Street).
