As as results the Promoter & Touring Party have decided to cancel The Nutcracker & Don Quixote, which had previously been rescheduled to Wednesday 13 October 2021 at Ipswich Civic Centre.

We are in the process of refunding all pre-purchased tickets.

Plans for an Australian 2022 Imperial Russian Ballet tour are currently underway – stay tuned for further announcements.

Presented by Russian Ballet Ltd

Following their sell-out 2019 performances of Swan Lake, the Imperial Russian Ballet Company return to Australia to perform a double bill, The Nutcracker & Don Quixote.

ACT 1 – The Nutcracker

The ageless tale of bravery and dreams set to the music genius of Tchaikovsky’s musical, this ballet features one of the most recognisable and enduring music scores ever written. Set at Christmas time, a young girl dreams of her Nutcracker prince and their adventures together.

ACT 2 – Don Quixote

A ballet based on the Spanish novel by Miguel De S… and is considered the most influential work of literature from the Spanish golden age.  This festive and flamboyant ballet was first performed in Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre in 1869.

The Imperial Russian Ballet Company was formed in 1994 by the Bolshoi Theatre soloist, Gediminas Taranda. The Imperial Russian Ballet Company comprises 40 dancers from the major ballet schools of Russia.

“Bold, Brave Russians”

In a night that overflows with all things ballet, you can’t help be swept up by the sheer panache of the Imperial Russian Ballet Company dancers.”  The West Australian
