Wednesday 13 June 11.00am Known as one of the finest military bands in Australia, the Australian Army Band Brisbane provides music for regal, vice-regal, state and ceremonial occasions, performs at festivals, gives concerts and presents precision marching displays, as well as fulfilling its military role. Every year the band provides music for many varied community groups and receives acclaim from audiences wherever it performs. The Australian Army Band Brisbane is a great asset to the State of Queensland and provides an extremely professional "public face" for the Australian Army.

It was also stirring combining "Pomp and Circumstance" with Johann Strauss Waltzes, "Waltzing Matilda" and 1812 Overture. This year, those "Grande Gendarmes" gentlemen return with greater fun in two segments. The girls are back to transport everyone away in song, and the Orchestra is set to really wow everyone. The traditional part of the Prom, involves singing national songs, while waving the relevant flags, just like Albert Hall in London for the past 102 years. We aim to fill the Civic Centre with people, flags and singing. (First 3 rows of stalls seating removed for Cushion Concert effect)

What was an initially a one week booking quickly sold out and extended into a six week, sell out season. Thus the original seed of "Looking For A Glass Onion" was born.
