The Fairies

15 to 23 October - 7:30pm Guys and Dolls is a musical with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. It is based on "The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown" and "Blood Pressure", two short stories by Damon Runyon, and also borrows characters and plot elements from other Runyon stories, most notably "Pick the Winner."

Queensland's best Irish dancers will battle it out for the state's top honours when the 2010 QUEENSLAND STATE IRISH DANCING CHAMPIONSHIPS are held at the Ipswich Civic Centre. Almost 300 solo competitors and more than 120 teams from as far north as Cairns & as south as Lismore, will compete at this prestigious event. The three-day event will feature 29 solo championship events and 28 team championship events, featuring dancers ranging in age from 6 years to adult.
