Cr Pahlke said the purpose of TAG was to bring together the diverse ideas and interests of the local operators in the tourism industry.

" TAG members are passionate about tourism and they will be assisting Ipswich City Council with tourism issues in Ipswich.

"They will be helping us to further develop the tourism industry in the city.

Cr Pahlke said it was great to see the diverse range of interests which were represented by TAG members.

"The various sectors of the tourism industry including accommodation, tours, attractions, events, dining, retail and associations are all represented.

"Tourism in Ipswich is a $100 million industry and the diverse businesses and organisations represented on the TAG reflect how the economic benefits of tourism are spread throughout the whole community.

"Council looks forward to working  with TAG members to further develop Ipswich's tourism market."
