Ian Maurice and Friends

Thursday 18 February

A two hour cagaret /variety show starring 4BC's Ian Maurice. Singers, dancers and entertainers present a fun filled concert of show tunes, comedy, rock and roll and much loved songs from the 60's.

The Vagina Monologues

Saturday 20 February

A funny, poignant, intelligent musical interpretation of Eve Ensler's internationally successful theatrical work. Originally produced in 1996 in New York, the ever-popular performance piece comprises a series of entertaining monologues and, in this version, features vibrant costumes, dancing and music by Midnight Oil's Rob Hirst.

The Wolverines

Since forming in 1994, the Wolverines have introduced audiences across Australia and New Zealand to their unique blend of hard-hitting, rock-your-socks-off music and tongue-in-cheek humour. These "likeable rogues" have a musical style that is hard to define. From Texan boogie through to soft, bluesy ballads - not to mention their treatment of some of the best-known retro-classics.

Time Warp - A Musical Tribute to Rocky Horror

Ipswich Orpheus Chorale - Celebrity Concert 2010

Sisters Joan Sydny and Maggie King join forces in this hilarious comedy play about over the hill cleaners who start talking dirty to get filthy rich. A hard working trio of elderly cleaners take the threat of redundancy head on! The girls set up a phone sex scam and their bosses do not know about it and their willing customers are none the wiser.

The Delltones

The Delltones have been around for over 50 years! Just let that sink in for a minute. For five decades this legendary outfit has played, celebrated and elevated rock'n'roll - one of the few real constants in a frantically changing world. Audiences still scream, audiences still shout, audiences still go away singing the songs, dancing the steps, chanting the goofy chants and looking forward to coming back for another dose as soon as they can.

La Boheme by Co-Opera

This quintessentially romantic opera has become one of the most widely performed of all time. The Bohemians are an idealistic, penniless bunch and their joyous love of the festive season is central to the story. Tribulations, celebrations and the troubled triangle of Musetta, Marcello and Alcindoro provide a counterpoint to the genuine and profound love between Rodolfo and Mimi - but love's greatest enemy, misunderstanding, threatens to sabotage their union.

Experience the stirring sound of the massed pipes and drums, the excitement and colour of Highland and Irish dancers, plus guest artists, in a spectacular stage show honouring the Celtic influence on the culture of Ipswich over the past 150 years. As a special added extra, attendees at the Saturday evening performance can meet the performers and special guests and enjoy some post-show refreshments on the Civic Centre terrace.

Two eras of authentic KISS costumes, over 15 authentic KISS guitars and a spectacular light show come together in one of the largest touring tribute acts in the country. Classic songs like I Was Made for Lovin' You, Rock ‘n' Roll All Night, Shandi, Sure Know Something and God Gave Rock ‘n' Roll to You are all covered in this amazing concert event that includes all the fire-breathing, guitar-smashing, smoke-ridden mayhem that has brought fame to the KISS name for over 30 years.

Foster and Allen

Foster & Allen - Ireland's most famous and successful duo - returns to Australia in 2010. Mick Foster and Tony Allen have been performing together for more than 30 years. Formed in 1975, the duo began working on the local music circuits of Ireland and England. Soon, with their own special brand of music, they became hugely popular. Between them, they have sold 18 million records, making them one of Ireland's biggest entertainment exports.

Caught in the Act - A night of Acoustic Guitar

Presented by the Brisbane Guitar Collective, this unique musical evening features multi-award-winning Australian and international touring artist, acoustic guitarist Michael Fix and contemporary instrumental fingerstyle guitarist Tim O'Brien, with EWI performer Sam O'Brien, guitarist/singer/composer Caroline Hammond and acoustic blues guitarist Craig Claxton. FOX - Family Theatre

Presented by Monkey Baa Theatre for Young People and based on the book by Margaret Wild and Ron Brooks, FOX tells the fable-like story of an unusual friendship between Dog and Magpie. When Magpie's wing is injured in a raging bushfire, she is rescued by Dog. Blind in one eye, Dog puts Magpie on his back and runs with her. Magpie tells Dog that he can be her wings and she will be his missing eye. The friendship continues until Fox arrives. Seeing the pair cosily together, he conspires to part them.

Guys and Dolls - Ipswich Orpeus Chorale

Guys and Dolls is a musical with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. It is based on "The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown" and "Blood Pressure", two short stories by Damon Runyon, and also borrows characters and plot elements from other Runyon stories, most notably "Pick the Winner."

Charmaine Wilson's Spirit Whispers

PSYCHIC SHOW - Australian Psychic of the Year, Charmaine Wilson, will give audience members a chance to connect with those who have passed over to give messages of peace and love for the living.
