MC comedian Anthony Lamond, brings comedy to Ipswich in the monthly Stitch in the ‘swich series featuring:
Please note a change in line-up – Due to unforeseen circumstances Aaron Gocs is unable to join us for Stitch in the ‘swich December, but never fear, we are happy to announce that Nick Carr will be joining the line-up!
KEL BALNAVES
Kel Balnaves is a skilled MC, performer and headline comedian touring throughout Australia and is a regular guest comedian onboard P&O Cruise ships. Well… that was before… you know, Covid – but let’s not talk about that.
Kel has been performing at festivals like the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival for over 10 years! Wet behind the ears, Kel performed in his first Adelaide Fringe way back in 2008. His ears have now dried out and he has since written and performed 9 solo shows on the trott. His most recent show won an Adelaide Fringe weekly award for best comedy. Instantly likeable and infinitely relatable, Kel Balnaves is a laconic story teller with a keen eye for those everyday things we all experience. Solid, reliable and punchy, he is the act to bet on. As South Aussie as a Fritz flavoured pie floater on top of a Stobie pole – the highest rank possible. Kel supports regional Australia. Anything from performing a drought relief tour of Outback Australia, to Country Fire Service fundraisers. Practical, funny, Kel’s a comedy Swiss army knife. When he’s not touring all over the country, Kel can usually be found making home brew or fixing a knackered Land Rover. Winner – Adelaide Fringe Best Comedy Weekly Award 2021
“Punchy delivery, vivid mental imagery and an engaging manner” – Chortle
“Had the audience continually laughing” – The Advertiser
NICK CARR
Nick is Qld’s most energetic and daring performer.
Nick is a two time state Raw Comedy Finalist, has supported Troy Kinne, hosted a strip-club’s 3rd birthday and performed internationally at the Koh Samui International Podcast Festival; but not all at the same time, that would be weird.
A frequent guest on ABC Radio, Nick and has appeared on a score of some of Australia’s biggest comedy podcasts including “The Little Dum Dum Club” and “The Phonehacks”.
He’s a familiar face in stand up scenes across the country, a big fan of spaghetti and brings a passion about comedy that he’s more than willing to share with the world.
