Based on a true story
Kinky Boots follows Charlie Price, who has reluctantly inherited his father’s struggling shoe factory. Trying to live up to his father’s legacy and save the family business , Charlie finds inspiration in the most unlikely of places: a spectacular entertainer named Lola, who is in desperate need of some sturdy stilettos.
As they work to turn the factory around, this dynamic pair finds they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible. With a little compassion and a lot of understanding, they create a line of boots unlike any the world has ever seen, and in doing so, they discover that the best way to fit in is to stand out.
