Mark McConville (MC) –

Mark McConville is an accomplished Stand-Up Comedian, MC and Keynote Speaker and has been working in the Australian entertainment industry since 1998.

As a headliner or MC Mark has comfortably become known as “One of the most reliable and versatile comedians in the business.” Whether it be in an outback pub, an inner-city comedy club, onboard a cruise ship, or working a corporate audience, you can rely on him to give your audience a great show.

Over the past 26 years Mark has developed into a comedian who can easily shift from rapid fire punchlines to an easy-going story-telling style that makes you feel as though you’ve known him for years. His innate ability to connect with people from all demographics means he can zero in on the finer points of life and present them in a way that makes you laugh and laugh hard.

“Throughout his career Mark has appeared on various TV shows and he is also a regular on-air contributor to ABC Radio Qld, but to be fully appreciated, he must be seen live.

“There is now decades worth of research from around the world that proves the use of humour and laughter are beneficial to your mental health.”

Having completed a Masters Degree in Suicidology at Griffith University in 2018, Mark now also travels around the country as a popular advocate for the Mental Health benefits of humour and laughter. Mark’s Laughter Clinic presentations and workshops are the perfect integration of academic knowledge with world class entertainment.

With an approach to comedy that is both personal and professional, Mark will have your audience engaged from the moment he steps onto the stage.

Laughter is guaranteed.

Mary Gore –

Mary Gore is a rising star in the Brisbane comedy scene, blending her Irish roots and lady tradie background into a unique and hilariously unpredictable comedic style. With the perfect balance of accidental inappropriateness and effortless humour, she’s taken Australian comedy by storm, becoming a semi-finalist in the QLD Raw Competition in 2022, competing in Brat Pack, and finishing as the runner-up at the Giggle Room Competition. Her infectious energy and sharp wit make her an absolute must-see for anyone who loves to laugh.

Jemma Bayley –

Jemma ‘the darling of Brisbane comedy’ Bayley is cute as a button. But don’t let her looks fool you, she packs quite the comedic punch!

With a right hook full of twisted personal antidotes and an uppercut’s worth of whimsical antics, she is sure to have you on the floor rolling. Raw Queensland state finalist, Class Clowns Queensland Runner up and regular Big Fork Theatre Improv star, she’s across it all.
And when she’s not touring she’s back in Brisbane, working on an internationally award winning children’s television show (we can’t tell you which, but it is a true Blue-y Aussie classic).

Is there nothing she can’t do? A back flip. She can’t do a backflip. Don’t mention it, she’s quite sensitive about it.

Come see her before she gets big. Or attempts another backflip. We can’t stress how much she can’t do one, like, next time she tries, she could die. Please don’t encourage her!

Craig Quartermaine –

Unstimulated with a job driving trucks in the mining industry and a former life as an apprentice chef, Craig Quartermaine opted for a career change in his late twenties. Applying for and winning a broadcasting scholarship with ABC Radio set the proud Nyoongar man on a new path, from where he was selected to contribute to the second season of Australia’s first Indigenous sketch comedy show, ABC TV’s hugely popular Black Comedy. From here Craig went on to become the Western Australian correspondent for the National Indigenous Television network, NITV.

While his media career was burgeoning, Craig was quietly hitting the open mic rooms of Perth, developing a passion for stand-up comedy that quickly led to him making the national finals in Australia’s most prestigious comedy competition – triple j’s RAW Comedy at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Shortly after this milestone achievement Craig headed off to play London’s West End before making his triumphant Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut with the spectacularly-received Race Off, where he introduced the Australian race dynamic to the world. This set him on his way to a huge European tour and catching the eye of comedy heavyweights such as Hannibal Buress, Chris D’Elia, Nazeem Hussain and Jim Jefferies, all of whom have chosen Craig to open for them in packed out theatres and arenas across the country.

On his return from the UK, Craig relocated to Sydney where he was employed by ABC TV to write for and appear on the successful first season of their new ‘tonight show’ style program Tonightly. In 2018 he performed on triple j‘s first ever ‘One Night Stand-up’ at their One Night Stand concert for 20,000 people in St Helen’s, Tasmania. The clip of his spot, posted by ABC Comedy went viral, amassing over a million views in 48 hours and ultimately around 10 million views from around the world, with everyone from Danish housewives to American ranchers becoming instant fans. Craig currently broadcasts for ABC radio and has hosted both national and local shows across the network.

His take on race, politics or Australian nuances is not always comfortable, but Quartermaine takes pride in making you laugh when you really think you shouldn’t. Unique, with a biting perspective about life as an Indigenous Australian, Quartermaine’s dark wit sneaks up on you right before it smashes you in the face.

The accomplished journalist and TV writer is affectionately described by UK comedy bible The List as a ‘charming ball of rage’… don’t let the smile fool you and don’t let the laughs scare you.
