YEEHAW! Them Hillbilly Goats are hitchin’ up the wagon and rollin’ into town – and they’re bringin’ a boot-stompin’, washboard-slappin’, banjo-blazin’ hoedown that’ll blow the roof clean off the barn!

These here Goats ain’t no backyard pickers – they’re the 2022 Folk Band of the Year, 2020 Golden Fiddle winners, and multi-time Golden Guitar finalists. They’ve been tearin’ up festival stages and packin’ out venues all over this wide brown land for more than a decade, and they ain’t slowin’ down!

With double bass, fiddle, banjo, harmonica, tap shoes and a whole lotta heart, they bring the spirit of the Appalachian mountains straight to yer doorstep. Expect tales of moonshine, mischief, and mountain mayhem – all wrapped up in harmonies sweeter than grandma’s peach cobbler and rhythms that’ll make yer boots dance on their own.

The Goats don’t just play music – they throw a dang hillbilly party! So grab yer hat, wrangle up the young’uns, and git ready to get goatified!

Ipswich City Council has transformed the historic Old Baptist Church into the intimate, well renowned performing arts venue, Studio 188. Offering a year-round program of art, culture and entertainment in the heart of Ipswich, Studio 188 boasts a flexible space, regular live music gigs, artist residencies and creative development workshops where big ideas are hatched and people come together in ways that connect and inspire. 

Studio 188 is the home for local artists and community folk to foster industry connections, gain exposure and develop new works, with regular free workshops and programs.
