Groove Terminator –
Simon “Groove Terminator” Lewicki stands as a trailblazer in Australia’s music scene, celebrated as one of the country’s pioneering DJs and music industry figures for over three decades. Breaking ground as the first DJ signed to a major label, Simon achieved international acclaim with his breakout single “One More Time (The Sunshine Song)”, a Big Beat anthem that soared into the top 20 charts in Australia and France. Simultaneously, under his disco-tinged alias Chili HiFly, Simon topped the Australian and US Billboard dance charts with the #1 hit “Is It Love” in 2001, a milestone that showcased his influence in catapulting Antipodean talent onto the global stage.
In the mid-2000s, Simon joined forces with Sam Littlemore to form Tonite Only, an electro-pop powerhouse that dominated the late 2000’s global club scene with infectious singles and remixes. Simon’s partnership with Ministry Of Sound Australia since its inception has been pivotal, from mixing their inaugural compilations to serving as Creative Director and DJ/Host for their acclaimed Orchestral tours. As head of A+R at 120 Publishing, co-founded in 2010, Simon has contributed to hit singles for renowned acts like PS1, Savage, and Timmy Trumpet.
Currently, Simon collaborates with 5 time Grammy winners Soweto Gospel Choir on their celebrated show “History Of House” which has performed to sold out seasons across Australia Arts Festivals and Edinburgh Fringe. Blending South African rhythms with house music, HOH tells the story of the cultural revolution that is House Music. They also released an album of club classics sung in Zulu and English that merges the spirit of Paul Simon’s “Graceland” with the innovation of Moby’s “Play” that was nominated for Best World Music Album at the 2024 ARIA’s and also made it into KCRW’s 30 best albums of 2024 at #10.
Discovery – Daft Punk Tribute Show
Discovery is Australia’s tribute to the music and image of French electro house legends, Daft Punk. Complete with authentic signature gold and silver helmets as well as an entertaining, fun and party-vibe DJ set of their own produced remixes and mash ups to ensure even the purest Daft Punk fan will be satisfied!
With their attention to detail in custom-made costumes and huge fanbase, Discovery is a perfect addition for any club event, function or festival.
VOiiiD Collective –
Meet the VOiiidians!
A motley crew of consistently colourful and fiendishly freaky oddballs who inhabit the wonderland of the VOiiiD. This exceptionally eccentric family of outrageously quirky characters lives for any chance to dance, prance, and play. Keep your eyes peeled—they might be just around the corner at the Ipswich Civic Centre!
VOiiiD Collective, is a company dedicated to empowering independent artists to share raw and vulnerable stories. We challenge perspectives on both individual and global issues through unapologetic, hyper-visual, and multimodal works. Caro Francis –
Caro Francis is rapidly gaining attention for her fresh and idiosyncratic take on underground electronic music. The enigmatic Ipswich-based producer’s songwriting, sound palette, and innovative production has caught the ear of tastemakers both here and abroad, with tracks that artfully blend left-field club sounds, experimental rhythms and a keen ear for melody.
B33fcake –
If there’s one thing that Ipswich’s B33fcake can make you do, it’s dance. His selections push and pull between emotional and down-right funky, fusing the experimental sides of UK Garage, Breaks and Electro with one goal in mind – to make you move and shake like no tomorrow!
For 50 years, Ipswich Civic Centre has been at the heart of the Ipswich performing arts community, hosting countless events, fostering connections, and creating memories.
