Studio 188 and Arts Queensland present…
A true hands-on artist, Clea is involved in every aspect of her creative process, production, visuals, and styling, ensuring a fully immersive world for her audience. Clea draws inspiration from musicians who push the boundaries of pop, as well as local artists and fashion designers forging their own paths. This independent, fearless approach is reflected in her work, where music and visuals intertwine to create a transportive experience.
Clea’s music is deeply influenced by the natural world and the rhythm of a slower, more intentional way of living. She finds inspiration in the cycles of the moon, the wildlife that surrounds her home and studio, and the creative energy that fuels her work. Clea’s songs often have a mantra-like quality, inviting moments of reflection and connection.
CLEA will be supported by Paulina!
Paulina is a 21-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer based in Meanjin/Brisbane, making a significant impact within the Australian pop-soul landscape. Born in Germany and raised in Australia, she fuses emotional lyricism, innovative production, and a distinctive voice that is both ethereal and commanding.
A multi-instrumentalist, Paulina’s songwriting journey began early, using music to process personal truths and confront social realities. Tracks like Maybe We’re Running, inspired by the overturning of Roe v. Wade, reveal her lyrical maturity and emotional depth. Themes of love, empowerment, and climate anxiety weave through her lush, immersive soundscapes.
Since receiving the Youth Award at the 2022 Queensland Music Awards for her breakout single Parasite, Paulina has garnered support from major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, MTV, and triple j. Influenced by artists such as RAYE and Billie Eilish, her discography – comprising over 13 singles and a debut EP – has amassed more than 5 million streams globally.
A recent collaboration with renowned beatboxer Tom Thum which amassed over 8 million views across social media, led to the release of their single Focus on Me, which surpassed 450K Spotify streams and significantly expanded her digital following to 60K+ followers. Her music has been featured on prominent Spotify editorial playlists such as Chill Tracks and Soulful, with a growing audience across Australia, the United States, United Kingdom, Germany & Canada.
Committed to building a career grounded in purpose and longevity, Paulina states, “Through my music, I want to help people connect with their emotions, inspire self-confidence, and contribute to creating a kinder world!”
This program is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
