An Intimate Evening With David Hobson

We are pleased to be able to announce that the performance on Friday 9 November will be presented by none other than Australia’s Leading Lady of musical theatre, Marina Prior.

Recently David Hobson had a medical procedure and, unfortunately, his recovery has taken longer than expected. He has been advised not to sing this week. Naturally, David is extremely disappointed. David really looks forward to coming back to Ipswich sooner than later.

Australia’s leading lady of musical theatre has played over thirty lead roles in such shows as Les Misérables, Camelot (opposite Richard Harris), The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, Guys & Dolls, and Hello Dolly.

She is also well known to television audiences through her appearances on Carols by Candlelight, as a judge on Channel Seven’s It Takes Two, and as Iris in The ABC series The Divorce.

Marina has won numerous awards for her performances, as well as an Advance Australia Award for her contribution to the performing arts.  In 2006, she was honoured with an induction into Australia’s 100 Entertainers of the Century.
