“Crossing the Divide is a powerful work that reveals a true conversation between Indigenous Australia and Settler-Colonialism with wit, humour and respect.” – DOBBY
PLUS bonus Q&A session after the show and optional workshop (limited spots available for the workshop – please contact box office to book).
JK-47 – Mixtape Sessions @ Studio 188 – Thursday 5 June 2025
If you’re a Hip Hop fan in Australia, you should by now know the name JK-47. Whether you know him as the Triple J Unearthed Artist of the Year, or from his jaw-dropping Like A Version where he put a fantastic twist on ‘Changes’ by 2Pac, you would already know that the talented Indigenous artist is a force to be reckoned with.
JK-47 will be supported by Ipswich local Denzel Kennedy!
Proudfoot and Friends ‘Blowin’ in the Breeze’ – Sunday 13 July 2025
Proudfoot and Friends ‘Blowin’ in the Breeze’ is coming to the Ipswich Civic Centre stage as part of our 50th Anniversary series, celebrating the rich history of performing arts across Ipswich. Get ready for the foot-stomping, rib-tickling, toe-tapping time of your life at the Proudfoot & Friends stage show spectacular!
Join award-winning children’s performer Lucas Proudfoot on stage with his guitar, stomp box, didgeridoo and a cast of unforgettable characters on a non-stop musical adventure around Pelican Bay.
Waltzing The Wilarra – Wednesday 8 October 2025
A HIT Productions show – Charlie, Elsa and Fay take you on a musical journey back to 1940’s post war Perth. Against a backdrop of curfews, and the fear of arrest for consorting, white and black manage to form their own club. Forty years on, as the club faces demolition, our three characters meet once again to stage a musical reunion and protest in an attempt to save their old stomping ground. As the trio reflects upon loves lost and found, old arguments and alliances resurface.
Dark secrets and ghosts that have lingered for more than half a century are revealed, and we discover that reconciliation is more than saying sorry.
