Join me, ‘pocket dynamite’ singer-actor Melissa Western, for a night of fun and frivolity with a biting edge as I travel the ups and downs of life as a five foot two (okay, maybe five foot … but I always wear heels). As a tribute to the vertically challenged amongst us, I solemnly promise that all the music in this cabaret has been made famous by someone no taller than five foot two including Dolly Parton, Edith Piaf, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Shakira and more.

Backed by my hot band and some super special guests, this will be a night of silly psychology and pint-sized perfection. Is it a comedy, is it a cabaret, is it a therapy session? Come and see for yourself, everyone is welcome … as long as you tall, sprouty people turn around and check that the person behind you can see.

Melissa Western is a British-born Brisbane-raised singer-actor-writer. She is well-known to Ipswich audiences having performed in sell-out shows Barbara & Barry’s Sweet, Sour and Saucy, The Roaring Twenties, Midnight in Montparnasse, and Lissa and Nee Nee. By turns sassy, soulful, smart and sweet, Melissa straddles the worlds of jazz, cabaret and theatre, performs around Australia and internationally and has received countless 5-star reviews and awards including a Churchill Fellowship and Matilda Award nominations.
