Rainbow Choir- Tulmur edition for MELT Festival 2026!

Rainbow Choir is curated by Andrea Kirwin and Angela Newcomb and is a safe and inclusive place for all people from all walks of life. The choir will sing songs by LGBTQIA+ artists as well as club bangers and feel good requested songs.

Rainbow Choir opportunities for locals:

• join the choir, attend rehearsals and be part of the special MELT Festival performance in November
• lead the choir with mentorship provided by Andrea and Angela

Important dates:

• Rehearsals  –  Fire Station 101, 101 Limestone Street, Ipswich
  • Sunday 27 September
  • Sunday 4 October
  • Sunday 1 November
• Performance Showcase – Cunningham Room, Ipswich Civic Centre, 50 Nicholas Street, Ipswich
  • Saturday 7 November | 7.30 pm – 9.00 pm

No singing experience necessary, just an enthusiasm to have a go. Also, you don’t have to be a LGBTQIA+ community member to join, allies are welcome!

There is no costs to be a part of the choir. All members will receive a complimentary ticket to the showcase.
