Presented by Ipswich Civic Centre
MC comedian Anthony Lamond, brings comedy to Ipswich in the monthly Stitch in the ‘swich series.
In August we will be joined by Luke Heggie, Sandeep Totlani and Dom Wrench.
Luke Heggie
Comic favourite Luke Heggie is known for his dry dead pan style and the ability to deliver a brand new killer comedy show year after year. He gigs relentlessly 6 or 7 nights a week and tours the biggest comedy and arts festivals in Australia and New Zealand to sell out crowds and rave reviews. Luke also has a fan base in UK by taking his harsh but fair shows about idiots to crowds at London’s Soho Theatre. Starting out as RAW Comedy winner and going up from there Luke’s accolades include a two-time ARIA Award nominee for Best Comedy Release, the coveted ‘comic’s choice’ Piece of Wood Award at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the 2015 Sydney Comedy Festival’s Director’s Choice Award, the 2021 Sydney Comedy Festival Best in Fest Award, and was nominated for Best Show at the 2021 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Sandeep Totlani
Born and raised in India, Sandeep Totlani is a pizza eating competition winner and a trained dentist (because some stereotypes are good). Sandeep discovered stand-up comedy by accident when he watched Russell Peters on YouTube and entered Australia’s prestigious RAW comedy competition while on a student visa. Since then he has fallen in love with all things funny and been a regular at Australian Comedy venues. Juggling between the Indian and Western culture, Sandeep has performed comedy in 3 languages on some of the biggest stages across Australia and India supporting big time local and International acts like Danny Bhoy, Zakir Khan, Damien Power, Matt Okine, Becky Lucas, Ivan Aristegueta, Atul Khatri and Jeeveshu Ahluwalia to name-drop a few. His perspective is fresh, stage persona likeable and style of comedy, both intriguing and hilarious.
Dom Wrench
Dom is a fireball of energy who you will either love or hate by the end of his set. If being loud and inappropriate was a job, he’d be a professional.
