Ipswich Civic Centre presents…
Supported by Sit Down Comedy Club, bringing comedy to Ipswich in the monthly Stitch in the ‘swich series.
This month features Nan Chen, Bianca Cordez, Shad Wicka and Sandeep Totlani!
Nan Chen –
A local comedian with an amazing style and a killer dead-pan delivery, Nan has truly become a staple of a good night across Brisbane comedy over the last few years!
Bianca Cordez –
Growing up as an ADHD, homeschooled, theatre kid in rural South Australia, Bianca Cordez managed to dodge what some might call a healthy dose of schoolyard bullying – unfortunately leaving us with the bundle of undeserved confidence and energy we see today.
After throwing herself into the world of stand up and being awarded runner-up and crowd favourite at Good Chat Comedy’s Brat Pack competition (2020), Bianca was propelled into the comedy scene to become a two-time Raw Comedy QLD State Finalist (2022, 2024), opening festival shows for heavy hitters like Bec Charlwood (Triple J, Spicks & Specks) and becoming a regular face on stages around SEQ.
Her debut festival split-bill Sunday Service, sold out in 2021, and she now co-produces Brisbane’s favorite queer/femme comedy show Not a Boy’s Club, which made its Brisbane Comedy Festival debut in 2024.
Bianca uses comedy to tell stories about her hometown, growing up homeschooled and just plain unconventional childhood because hey, it’s cheaper than therapy.
Shad Wicka –
A rising comedic presence out of Queensland and the host of the very popular ‘Good Yarns’ podcast, Shad Wicka is becoming a regular and much adored face on the Australian comedy circuit.
Though currently based in Brisbane, Shad has found himself performing solo shows all around the country, including multiple appearances at both the Adelaide Fringe and Sydney Comedy Festivals.
Kicked off radio for a run in with Scomo, Wicka is a class storyteller with jokes to match, Shad brings a down-to-earth looseness to the stage like no other!
Sandeep Totlani –
Born and raised in India, Sandeep Totlani is a pizza eating competition winner and a trained dentist (because some stereotypes are good). Sandeep discovered Stand-up comedy by accident when he watched Russell Peters on YouTube and entered Australia’s prestigious RAW comedy competition while on a student visa. Since then he has fallen in love with all things funny and been a regular at Australian Comedy venues.
Juggling between the Indian and Western culture, Sandeep has performed comedy in 3 languages on some of the biggest stages across Australia and India supporting big time local and International acts like Danny Bhoy, Zakir Khan, Damien Power, Matt Okine, Becky Lucas, Ivan Aristegueta, Atul Khatri and Jeeveshu Ahluwalia to name-drop a few. His perspective is fresh, stage persona likeable and style of comedy, both intriguing and hilarious.
