Jo Gowda –

Jo Gowda is an Indian born Australian stand-up comic. RAW comedy finalist in 2019 and 2020, Jo will disarm you with her quick wit and cheeky sense of humour. She describes herself as Australia’s second-best import (after cricket of course).

Jo uses her humour to break barriers, shatter stereotypes and incite thought. Being raised with strong south Indian traditions and her new Australian life have intertwined to create a unique comedic palate she likes to call ‘Great Barrier Beef’. She believes one day her humour will inspire the world, scratch that, inspire her mother to come watch her perform.

Michael Cho –

A recent addition to the Brisbane comedy scene, Michael Cho is already making waves as one of the city’s brightest new talents. A prolific writer and performer, Michael‘s sharp wit and acerbic tongue makes him a delight to watch on stage. A regular support act for interstate talent visiting the Sunshine State; and having recently spread his wings to stages down south, he’s definitely a name to look out for.

Sandeep Totlani –

Born and raised in India, Sandeep Totlani is a pizza eating competition winner and a trained dentist (because some stereotypes are good). Sandeep discovered Stand-up comedy by accident when he watched Russell Peters on YouTube and entered Australia’s prestigious RAW comedy competition while on a student visa. Since then he has fallen in love with all things funny and been a regular at Australian Comedy venues.

Juggling between the Indian and Western culture, Sandeep has performed comedy in 3 languages on some of the biggest stages across Australia and India supporting big time local and International acts like Danny Bhoy, Zakir Khan, Damien Power, Matt Okine, Becky Lucas, Ivan Aristegueta, Atul Khatri and Jeeveshu Ahluwalia to name-drop a few. His perspective is fresh, stage persona likeable and style of comedy, both intriguing and hilarious.

Dimitrios Tomazos –

Dimitrios Tomazos Dimitri emerged onto the comedy scene at the age of 19, making a memorable debut in the 2024 RAW Comedy Competition. With a Greek mother and a redheaded father, Dimitri humorously reflects on his mixed heritage and the quirks of his upbringing, often weaving tales of family dynamics into his comedic repertoire. Despite being somewhat of a recluse, having spent many years within the confines of his parents’ home, Dimitri’s comedic style is anything but sheltered. Known for his raw and unfiltered humor, Dimitri’s performances are characterized by crude jokes, awkward timing, and a desperate attempt to elicit laughter from his audience – sometimes even resorting to paying them for their applause. Yet, amidst the chaos and personal struggles, Dimitri remains a relentless jokester unafraid to poke fun at life’s absurdities.

Ciarán Sammon –

Hailing from the Emerald Isles but now a firmly established Brisbanite, Ciarán Sammon has been carving his space in the comedy scene for a number of years. It was in December 2021 that Ciarán made his debut at The Sitdown Comedy Club, where his sharp wit and charm immediately captivated audiences. From there it’s been onwards and upwards. Fueled by his love for making people laugh, in December 2023 he embarked on his solo venture with “Broke & Alone in Brisbane” at Backdock Arts. Ciarán’s comedic journey has seen him become a familiar face in the Brisbane comedy scene. His quick wit and clever observations earned him recognition, making it to the Queensland State Final of the RAW Comedy Competition 2024, solidifying his place as one of Brisbane’s rising comedy stars.

Ting Lim –

Singaporean-born Ting Lim is a beloved favourite on the Brisbane comedy scene. With an easy charm, her darkly intelligent observations about life and human nature have made her rising star in Australian comedy. Bursting onto the scene in 2009, she was handpicked to represent Queensland in the prestigious RAW national comedy finals. Her momentum never faltered and she, once again, represented her home state in the coveted “Green Faces” national competition in the same year.

She quickly became a regular at the Sit Down Comedy Club and has performed all over Australia and Singapore, supporting the likes of Jimeoin, Matt Okine and more. Ting had a string of successful shows in the Melbourne Comedy Festival as well as the Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney Fringe Festivals. Following her success, Ting was part of the line up of the illustrious “Laugh your Pants Off” gala twice, alongside Rove McManus, Tommy Little, Frank Woodley and Claire Hooper. Daring, razor-sharp and infectious, Ting is a true up-and-comer – follow this journey as it’s nowhere near done yet!
