MC comedian Anthony Lamond, brings comedy to Ipswich in the monthly Stitch in the ‘swich series.

Unfortunately Tom Seigert wont be able to join us as originally planned.  We are happy to announce that Mandy Nolan will be joining the June lineup along side Emma Zammit and local comedian Damien Johnson.!

A stand up comedian for well over 28 years, audiences adore Mandy Nolan on stage, and around Byron Bay where she lives, Mandy-jokes are as much a part of the vernacular as any surf speak. Her humour is sharp, honest, sometimes self-depreciating, somewhat outrageous, but never cruel or pretentious. Frequently irreverent, it speaks to a diverse audience with no set demographic, no gender, race or religion, occupation or tribe. Mandy’s stand-up is known and loved for its rapid fire philandering and esoteric observations that emerge from the musings of what she describes as ‘a woman whose dilemma it is to navigate the new frontiers in the suburban badlands of human relationships and traverse that darkly hypocritical abyss that exists between action and belief.’

Emma Zammit recently did the support act for Jimeoin whilst he was touring here in Brisbane. She began her standup comedy career in early 2008 after her sister decided it was time to move her one liners out of the lounge room and enrolled her in a standup comedy writing course for the sake of family harmony. Emma’s relaxed and relatable style has been a hit with audiences in comedy clubs and at corporate functions. Her musings on parenthood, people and everyday life make her a highly entertaining performer. Off stage Emma likes to entertain parents with her Podcast and Facebook page “The Parents” that showcases the funnier side of parenting.

Local comedian Damien Johnson may be best known for his work as the broody, moody and altogether dark alt-electro musician, DAMIEN, but every yin has it’s yang, and Johnson’s counterbalancing side takes the form of a wickedly playful and altogether irreverent sense of humour that will have you wondering how the two sides of his personality manage to live with himself.
