What does it take to bring a character to life and share an important story?
The Ipswich City Council’s Protege Master Class Program, Queensland Theatre and Studio 188 present an exciting opportunity for students (Grade 9-12) in Ipswich with an interest in Drama.
This workshop series will focus on approaches to characterization and the fundamentals of scene work. Using excerpts from The Longest Minute, students will learn new skills and techniques to get inside a character’s mind, understand their motivations and be ready to respond in the moment. The series includes an excursion to The Longest Minute performance at the Ipswich Civic Centre, supervised by Queensland Theatre staff. Students will have the amazing opportunity to attend a private QnA session with actors after the show.
