Ipswich Musical Theatre Company presents….

Ipswich Musical Theatre Company brings another outstanding production to Ipswich, Broadway’s longest running and one of the most successful musicals of all time.

The Phantom of the Opera

Be entranced by the grandeur and romance of this lavish production accompanied by an orchestra of 27 musicians.

“Love, passion and live theatre are what Phantom is all about.” – Andrew Lloyd Webber

The Phantom of the Opera is a worldwide phenomenon based on a 1910 novel by Gaston Leroux. The Phantom of the Opera tells the tale of a disfigured musical genius who haunts the Paris Opera House. Mesmerised by the voice and beauty of the young soprano, Christine, the Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love with her.

When Christine’s childhood sweetheart comes back into her life, the Phantom’s obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness and passions collide.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s intoxicating score includes, Think of Me, All I Ask of You, Music of the Night, Masquerade, the title song The Phantom of the Opera and more.

A superb cast, a large orchestra, outstanding creative team  and staging ensure another magnificent performance you have come to expect each September from Ipswich Musical Theatre Company. Recent shows: We Will Rock You; Pirates of Penzance; Mamma Mia, Wicked, Les Miserables, Mary Poppins, Strictly Ballroom.
