An aspiring composer questions his life choices on the eve of his thirtieth birthday in Jonathan Larson’s autobiographical musical.
Jon’s girlfriend wants to get married and move out of the city, his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue and, yet, he is still waiting on tables and trying to write the great American musical.

MEET THE CAST

Chris White – With a career spanning over the past 15 years, Chris White is a passionate actor, singer, presenter and musician. Based in Brisbane, Australia, he has worked extensively in the realms of musical theatre, independent music and entertainment for children. Chris’s recent accomplishments have seen him performing for Prince Charles and in the Male Ensemble for pop-sensation Adele’s World Tour (Live Nation). Chris also worked as a member of internationally renowned children’s entertainment group Hi-5 and plays the role of Cheeko in Team Rescue which currently airs on ABC Kids.

Stephanie Long: Stephanie is an accomplished performer from New Zealand, now based in Brisbane. She graduated in 2014 from the University of Ballarat Arts Academy with a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre). Highlights thus far include Edges – A Song Cycle (Understudy Productions), overseas touring contracts with Aladdin’s Adventure, Shimmer and Shine and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Pen2Stage Productions), a year hosting the kids show at Drax4Kids and a stint at Dreamworld Australia both performing and in the role of singing captain.

Josh Whitten: A multifaceted performer, Josh Whitten has seen his talents take him all over Australia and abroad. He has originated the role of Matt in THAT Production Company’s book-to-stage adaptation The Tuckshop Kid, leant his voice to the multi-award-winning educational video program Snapatoonies and has featured in Golden Caskets Joyments television campaign. Passionate about developing and creating new Australian works Josh is very proud to have been a part of the creative development and workshops of Little Princess and OASIS: The Musical (Old Fashioned Production Company), Don’t Call Me Ishmael: The Musical and, most recently, The Oddmann Brothers.

Henry Kafoa: Hailing from the Tweed Coast, Henry is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, having completed a Bachelor of Music (Music Theatre) in 2013 and a Masters of Music Studies (Vocal Pedagogy) in 2020. An accomplished performer and vocal coach, Henry runs his own private singing studio in South Brisbane and will be embarking on his Doctoral Thesis this year. Notable performance credits include Once On This Island (Ton Ton Julian – Altitude Theatre), Forbidden Romance (Brisbane City Opera), Yank! (Chekowski – Understudy Productions), Fair Dinkum (Wayne – Echelon Theatre Co.), Shine a Light (Richard – Echelon Theatre Co.).
