Twenty & Terrific – Celebrating 20 years of dancing with Helen Clark School of Dancing

Helen Clark School of Dancing’s 2022 concert, ‘Twenty & Terrific’, is a celebration of the 20 year anniversary of the contemporary season of HCSD.

HCSD was founded by the late by Helen Lewis (nee Clark) in 1945. ‘Aunty Helen’ as she was affectionately known, taught dancing for many decades and played a pivotal role in the evolution of tap dancing in Queensland throughout the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

However, during the past 20 years, HCSD has been led and championed by Sarah Zeidler, Liesl Pike and the late Fiona Hutchinson. Together these ladies have fostered a new HCSD family and welcomed many new teachers, students and friends along the way.

This year, our concert is celebrating the 20 year anniversary of HCSD.

Our school has gone from ‘strength to strength’ in terms of its numbers, capability and mastery of new skills.
