Ipswich Live Music presents…
Women of Rock is set to light up Studio 188 on Friday 6 March, delivering a high-energy night of powerhouse vocals, iconic rock anthems, and unapologetic female talent. Produced by Ipswich Live Music Inc, this special concert proudly celebrates International Women’s Day, shining a spotlight on the incredible women driving live music in our own community. All feature acts on the night proudly call Ipswich home.
Holding the night together is house band The Knockout Collective, known for their versatility, energy, and crowd-moving grooves. Joining them are two exciting feature acts:
- Sass Sistas – an all-female band of talented musicians bringing guitar, vocals, bass, sax, keys, and percussion together in one high-energy, feel-good sound. With an upbeat vibe and groove-driven performances designed to get you moving, this show marks the very first live performance of Sass Sistas — making it a truly special moment.
- Mizzie Maxx – an electrifying force in the music world, Mizzie Maxx blends raw talent with an unyielding passion for performance. Originally hailing from Melbourne and now part of the Ipswich music scene, Mizzie’s musical journey began at a young age, shaped by a wide range of influences. From soulful vocals to masterful guitar work, Mizzie Maxx is a true artist in every sense of the word.
Celebrate International Women’s Day with a night of local talent, live music, and women who rock!
This event is supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund, a partnership between the Queensland Government and Ipswich City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland
