Sit Down Comedy Club brings comedy to Ipswich in the monthly Stitch in the ‘swich series.

This month features an incredible lineup featuring Kat Davidson, Granny Flaps and Bev Killick!

Kat Davidson
Who has 24 years comedy experience, brilliant stories and keeps the laughs coming, no matter who is in the audience? This lady….
Seeing Kat on stage is like visiting an old friend you haven’t met yet. She’s shared the stage with the world’s best comics (Stephen K Amos, Steven Wright, Dave Hughes to shamelessly name drop a few), tamed a shed full of drunk miners, kept a 21-year marriage off the rocks and is currently being parented by her ten year old.

Equally at home in a corporate venue or a room full of hens and bucks, Kat brings a fresh and intelligent view to her comedy. She tackles relationships, observations and random events with equal passion and her unique storytelling ability takes her audience along with her for the ride.

Granny Flaps
Lori Bell has comedy career has seen her collect a stack of awards including an Adelaide Fringe Award, as well as being a three time winner of both the Adelaide Comedy People’s Choice and Host of the Year. She recently finished a sold out season of the five star reviewed show ‘Lori Bell – Making Babies’ about her not so glamorous entrance into motherhood.

Bell also performs as her comedy alter ego Granny Flaps, where she has toured Australia with Puppetry of the Penis and performed at many Big Day Outs. This ukulele lady will have you laughing from beginning to end as she explores everything from love and lust in your golden years, to the joys of a Friday night in your 20s.

Lori was the MC for Winter Comfest in 2019 alongside Dane Simpson and Nazeem Hussain and MC’d again in 2022 alongside The Kransky Sisters, Zoe Coombs Marr and Sam Taunton.
Lori has also worked as an actor having starred in the ABC TV series Lost in Pronunciation, toured with State Theatre, and won a Melbourne Greenroom Award for her work.

Bev Killick
Bev Killick is from the bold and brassy school of stand up, delivering a non-stop energetic set every time. As soon as she blast’s her way on stage, you know you’re in for a treat. Bev is likeable, bawdy and real. Bev has worked with Weird Al Yankovic, Wayne Brady, Brad Garret and is in high demand as a touring comedian. Touring with Puppetry of the Penis, MICF Roadshow, and hit musical theatre production Busting Out!

She is the first ever female stand up to perform for the troops with Forces Entertainment. Bev is also an actor and has appeared in many television series and films – Preacher, It’s A Date, Kath and Kim, Jack Irish, Sunshine, Drunk History, Kinne Tonight, The Very Excellent Mr Dundee, That’s Not My Dog to name a few. Also featuring in hit commercials – Mars Bars, Iselect, Coles and Berlei. Bev has made many guest appearances on popular television such as The Project and Studio 10. As well as popular podcasts and radio. She’s an all rounder and with her range of talents is a surefire hit at corporate and private functions. She has written many solo shows for festivals and continues to come up with the good stuff year in and year out.
